Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will work across the Cheltenham cluster delivering planned servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs using a fully equipped RAC van, with no emergency callouts and a clearly scheduled workload.

You’ll enjoy a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30–17:00 and a 1 in 4 Saturday pattern, plus guaranteed overtime and additional earning opportunities through overtime and bonuses, pension, and generous leave.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience in light vehicle maintenance.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

2+ years' experience in Light Vehicle

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Tech/1

UK driving licence ≤6 points
