Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service planned appointments across the local area. You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van, perform diagnostics, servicing and IN-depth repairs to RAC standards.

The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with potential earnings up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime. Expect a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30am–5:00pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, maintenance and service tasks on vehicles.
• Diagnostics and repairs using mobile equipment.
• Maintain high quality workmanship in line with RAC SMR standards.
