Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician within the SMR division. The role covers planned, on-site servicing and diagnostics with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided.

Core hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays and guaranteed overtime options to boost earnings. You will operate across a planned schedule in the Cheltenham cluster, performing routine servicing and in-depth repairs with support and parts ordering built in.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
