Job summary

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) team with mobile technicians who visit members at driveways and workplaces. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule, performing servicing, diagnostics and repairs with full tools and a RAC van.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Skills

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Tech/2

2+ years’ experience in vehicle maint

Full UK driving licence

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
