RAC is hiring Mobile Mechanics for its SMR division. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs, delivering planned servicing, diagnostics, and repairs at members’ driveways or workplaces.

You’ll operate with a fully equipped RAC van, advanced diagnostics, and receive clear schedules with supported parts and tools. The role offers a 40-hour week with 8am–8pm shifts, Monday–Saturday availability, and attractive overtime/bonus opportunities.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience in routine servicing, diagnostics and repairs on light vehicles preferred.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Perform vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work on pre-booked appointments with a clearly planned schedule.
• Utilise a fully equipped RAC van, tools, and diagnostics to complete work reliably.
