Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division, working on a planned schedule of pre-booked visits across the Walsall cluster. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile gear, and in-depth repairs away from reactive callouts.

Expect clear digital scheduling, your own RAC van, and a structured role with overtime and progression into EV/diagnostic skills, all within a supportive national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education
