Job summary

RAC is hiring Mobile Mechanics for its SMR division. You will perform servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with the tools and support you need, often on driveways or car parks around your local area.

You will operate on a pre-booked schedule with a fully equipped RAC van, and you’ll receive member-focused advice while maintaining RAC standards. The role offers a clear development path and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
