Job summary

The RAC SMR division is hiring Mobile Mechanics to perform planned maintenance and repairs at member locations, not roadside calls. You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van with a schedule of pre-booked jobs, using advanced diagnostics and tools to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Skills

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Tech/​

Driving licence (UK, <6 points)

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
