Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs using mobile tools and diagnostics, with a focus on delivering quality work at members' driveways or car parks.

The role emphasizes independence, problem solving, and delivering reliable service with a fully equipped RAC van and overtime options. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
