Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will complete pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on customers’ vehicles, delivering high quality repairs away from the workshop.

You’ll operate from a fully equipped RAC van, follow scheduled appointments, and avoid reactive breakdown work. Ideal candidates have NVQ2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years of hands-on experience or 5+ years as a Technician, plus a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance
• Full UK driving licence with ≤6 points

• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection
