Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform planned servicing, diagnostics and repairs at member locations, using mobile equipment to deliver workshop-quality work on driveways and car parks.

You’ll work a 40-hour week with core hours, and overtime options plus guaranteed benefits including a pension, life assurance and employee discounts. Full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
