Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You’ll work on pre-booked appointments across Guildford and surrounding areas, using advanced diagnostics to perform routine servicing and in-depth repairs.

Expect a 40-hour week with some Saturday work, a competitive base salary, and earning potential through overtime and bonuses in a structured mobile role designed for independence and skill growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in‑depth repairs to required RAC standards.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Complete vehicle safety checks in line with RAC procedures.
