Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule across the Guildford cluster, performing routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs on customers’ vehicles with a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided.

Enjoy clear schedules, and no emergency callouts, with consistent, planned work. With a base around £45,378 (London weighting where applicable) and OTE up to £57,000, plus optional overtime, you’ll have structure,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Education

NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
