Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs on customers' vehicles at their driveways or workplaces.

You’ll deliver quality work with RAC standards, while advising members and ensuring safety checks are completed. Expect a structured, non-emergency mobile role with clear schedules, paid overtime and opportunities to earn bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience
• 5+ years experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills with a focus on quality and safety

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment
• Carry out in-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection findings
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
• Deliver planned work with proper time management and documentation
