Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR Division. You will perform routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment, and carry out in‑depth repairs that you would normally do in a workshop.

You’ll advise members and perform safety checks to RAC standards, all within a structured schedule and no emergency callouts. You'll operate a fully equipped RAC van with tools and diagnostics, earning a competitive base salary with overtime options and opportunities to increase

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years experience OR 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
