Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Luton area. This role focuses on planned, on-site servicing and repairs for members at driveways and workplaces, with a fully equipped RAC van, tools and advanced diagnostics provided.

You’ll work a 40-hour week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and have access to overtime and performance bonuses. Essential qualifications include an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned servicing and diagnostics on customers' vehicles.
• Carry out in-depth mobile repairs with diagnostic equipment.
• Provide clear advice and recommendations to RAC members.
• Maintain vehicle safety checks and documentation.
