Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the UK. You will work on pre-booked jobs with a clear digital schedule, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at member homes or workplaces.

This full-time role offers a base salary of £40,170 with potential to earn up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime, plus a comprehensive benefits package and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
• Work from a clear digital schedule with pre-booked jobs.

Education
