Job summary

RAC's SMR division is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to deliver planned servicing and diagnostics directly to members at driveways and workplaces across the UK.

Your day is pre-booked with a clear schedule: carry out routine servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs, with vehicle safety checks and member advice.

The role offers a base salary of £40,178 with OTE up to £52,000, 40-hour week, some Saturdays, overtime options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or 5+ years in a similar role.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and scheduled diagnostics on customer vehicles.
• Perform in-depth repairs using mobile equipment.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
