Job summary

RAC is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. You will work on a pre-booked schedule across Maidstone and surrounding areas, carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile tools, and in-depth repairs to RAC standards.

No emergency callouts, with clear timelines and supportive processes. You’ll enjoy a fully equipped RAC van, overtime and overtime bonuses, and a structured, planned workload designed for consistent, quality work.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a vehicle technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks meet RAC standards.
