Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll operate on pre-booked jobs across Maidstone and surrounding areas, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with modern mobile equipment.

You’ll provide member advice and ensure RAC safety standards are met, all from a fully equipped RAC van. You’ll work a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30am–5:00pm and a 1 in 4 Saturdays, supported by overtime and bonus opportunities to grow earnings beyond base pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Education

Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance
