Job summary

Join RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division, delivering planned maintenance and repairs with a fully equipped RAC van. You’ll work a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and one in four Saturdays, handling diagnostics, servicing and in-depth repairs away from roadside emergencies.

You’ll receive tools, a fuel card and a supportive environment while advancing your mobile diagnostics and repair skills with RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is acceptable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
