Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division. This full-time role offers a base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000 and a guaranteed overtime option to boost your pay. You’ll work 40 hours a week with core hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs on-site at members’ driveways or work locations, building trusted, high-quality service with RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Skills
