Job summary

RAC Motoring Services in Bath region is recruiting Mobile Mechanics to perform planned servicing, diagnostics and repairs at members’ driveways or car parks. You will work from a pre-booked schedule with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

The role focuses on structured maintenance, member support and high-quality service, with overtime and bonuses enabling earnings growth. 40-hour weeks, with some Saturdays, and a strong development pathway.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection findings.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work from a clear digital schedule with pre-booked appointments.
