Job summary

The RAC is hiring Mobile Mechanics for its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division. You’ll work on driveways and in car parks, carrying out planned servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs to RAC standards.

Based in the Bath cluster across towns like Bath, Frome, and surrounding areas, you’ll follow a pre-booked schedule, with 40 hours per week, 8:30–5:00, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, earning a competitive base salary of £40,170 with potential to reach £52,000

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• and A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
