Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule across Bridgwater cluster areas, including Weston-super-Mare, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with quality checks.

You’ll operate a fully equipped RAC van with tools and support, enjoying a clear development pathway, potential bonuses, and flexible overtime options as you deliver high-standard service to members.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing on vehicles.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Give member advice and recommendations following inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
