Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Bridgwater region. You’ll operate on pre-booked appointments across Bridgwater, Burnham‑on‑Sea, Weston‑super‑Mare and surrounding areas, delivering planned maintenance and precise diagnostics with vehicle safety checks.

You’ll work a 40‑hour week with structured shifts and overtime options, enabling steady earnings and career progression within a national service network.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education
