Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You will handle planned, pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on customers’ vehicles, working with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics tools.

Expect a base salary of £40,170 with potential earnings up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime, plus a structured 40-hour week and Saturday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic could be considered in lieu of NVQ.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and inspections on vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment and on-site testing.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop setting.
• Safety checks following RAC standards and guidance.
• Provide member explanations and recommendations after inspections.
