Job summary

The RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is seeking skilled Mobile Mechanics in the UK. You’ll perform planned servicing and diagnostics, with pre-booked appointments and no unpredictable callouts, delivering high-quality repairs on customer driveways and workplaces.

You will work a full-time 40-hour week across a structured schedule, with overtime and progression toward industry accreditation. Competitive salary and benefits included.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
