Job summary

RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division is hiring Mobile Technicians to deliver planned servicing and repairs directly to members at driveways and workplaces.

You'll work from a clear digital schedule, with pre-booked appointments, a fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform and advanced diagnostics.

40 hours per week with 8:30 to 17:00 core hours and 1 in 4 Saturdays; opportunities for overtime, bonuses and a pension.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing performed to RAC standards.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence (≤6 points)
