Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Northampton cluster. You will work on pre-booked, on-site service visits across the local area, performing diagnostics, routine servicing and in-depth repairs with modern mobile equipment.

The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, 40-hour week, optional overtime, and benefits such as a pension, life cover, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs normally done in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
