Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division. You will perform scheduled, pre-booked maintenance and diagnostics on customers' vehicles on their driveways or car parks, with no emergency callouts. You’ll work in the Norwich cluster area, following a clear digital schedule and earning a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000.

The role offers 40 hours per week, with a 8:30am–5:00pm core, and Saturdays 1 in 4. Overtime and bonus opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on customers' vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Carry out in-depth repairs you would normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
