Job summary

RAC’s Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division offers pre-booked, structured repair and servicing at members’ driveways or car parks. As a mobile technician, you’ll follow a clear digital schedule, perform diagnostics, servicing and in-depth repairs, and provide expert advice while maintaining high RAC standards.

Expect independence, supported by a fully equipped RAC van, uniform, and advanced diagnostics.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
