Job summary

Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division, working on pre-booked, planned appointments with a fully equipped RAC van and supporting tools. You’ll deliver routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs, guided by RAC standards, while advising members on maintenance and safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternatively 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on customer vehicles.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
