Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in the Bridgwater area. You will perform planned, on-site servicing and repairs with a fully equipped RAC van, following a pre-booked schedule and adhering to RAC standards.

You’ll use diagnostic tools, conduct routine servicing and safety checks, and provide recommendations to members. The role offers overtime, progression, and a strong benefits program within a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would be done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
