Job summary

RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division. You’ll work on a planned schedule of pre-booked jobs, covering Bridgwater and surrounding areas, with no emergency callouts.

You’ll use mobile diagnostics and perform repairs to RAC standards. The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, 40-hour week, overtime options, and generous benefits including pension, life cover, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic OR 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs aligned to RAC standards.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks.
