Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division to deliver scheduled mobile servicing and repairs directly to members. This role involves pre-booked appointments, diagnostics on-site, and high-quality repairs with a fully equipped RAC van.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing following RAC standards.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs you’d normally do in a workshop.
• Provide member guidance and recommendations after inspection.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks align with RAC procedures.
