Job summary

RAC in the UK is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. The role focuses on planned routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs delivered directly to members at driveways or workplaces.

You will work from a fully equipped RAC van with a structured schedule, enjoying independence, clear workflows, and opportunities to develop EV and diagnostic skills within a trusted national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years as Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
