Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in its SMR division to perform planned servicing and repairs for members. You’ll work from a pre-booked schedule, with no reactive callouts, delivering quality work on driveways and car parks across the Gloucester cluster.

You’ll use advanced diagnostics, maintain high standards, and benefit from a 40-hour week with overtime options and earning up to £52,000. A base of £40,170 plus enhancements supports your professional growth.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics on vehicles.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Use of advanced mobile diagnostic equipment.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
