Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR Division. You will perform scheduled servicing and repairs on customers' vehicles across the Gloucester cluster, working pre-booked appointments with minimal on-call activity.

We offer a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus overtime, and a structured development pathway toward industry accreditation. Ideal for skilled technicians seeking a mobile, planned-work role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
