Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll perform pre‑booked servicing and diagnostics on customers’ vehicles, focusing on high‑quality repairs delivered via a planned schedule rather than reactive callouts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
