Job summary

RAC is hiring Mobile Vehicle Technicians to perform planned servicing and diagnostics at members' locations across the Luton cluster and surrounding areas. You’ll work in a fully equipped RAC van, using advanced diagnostics to carry out services and repairs with clear member guidance.

From day one, you’ll operate in a structured, pre-booked schedule, avoiding reactive callouts while maintaining high safety standards and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs you would normally do in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
