Job summary

RAC SMR division seeks a skilled Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician to deliver planned maintenance and diagnostics at customers' locations across the UK. Work is scheduled, with a fully equipped RAC van, tools, and support provided from day one.

You’ll perform routine servicing, in-depth repairs, and member-focused advice in a mobile setting. You will be independent, hands-on, and able to prioritise safety and quality, all while representing RAC values.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on customers' vehicles.
• Perform in-depth repairs and safety checks to RAC standards.
• Provide clear advice and recommendations to members after inspections.
• Work from a pre-booked schedule with RAC vans and tools provided.
