Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to conduct scheduled servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs at customers' driveways as part of the SMR division. You will work in the Luton cluster area, covering towns like Luton, Dunstable and St Albans, with a fully equipped RAC van and digital schedule from day one.

The role emphasizes planned work over reactive roadside calls, offering independence, ongoing development including EV/diagnostic skills, and a strong support

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years in a similar role.
• Valid UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
