Job summary

RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair division, delivering planned car servicing and diagnostics directly to members at driveways or car parks. You’ll work from a predefined schedule on booked jobs, with a full RAC van, tools and diagnostics provided from day one.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs, while advising members and conducting safety checks in line with RAC standards. A UK driving licence with <6 points is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
