Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is hiring mobile technicians to service pre-booked appointments across the Luton cluster and nearby areas. You’ll diagnose and service vehicles at customers’ driveways, providing clear advice and safe, reliable repairs.

Expect a structured day with a ready-made schedule, on-site diagnostics, and RAC support for parts ordering. A full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 2 or equivalent are required, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience driving the role, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing on customer vehicles.
• Diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs as would be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice based on inspection results.
• Perform vehicle safety checks per RAC standards.
