Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division to deliver planned, structured repairs and servicing directly to members. Based in the Bristol cluster, you will work on a clearly planned schedule of appointments, with a RAC van, tools and diagnostics provided.

You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics and in‑depth repairs with guidance from a mobile platform, ensuring high quality service and member satisfaction in a non-emergency, planned workflow.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
