Job summary

RAC are seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join their SMR division. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule, servicing and diagnosing vehicles with a full RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided.

You’ll operate across Dagenham and surrounding areas, delivering quality repairs away from reactive callouts. Role requires NVQ2 level in light vehicle maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a technician, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Follow a pre-booked, scheduled job list with a clear digital plan.
• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection and deliver RAC-standard vehicle safety checks.
