Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You’ll operate within a planned, pre-booked schedule across Luton and surrounding areas, performing routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with modern mobile tools.

Enjoy a base salary of £45,370 with on-target earnings up to £57,000 and optional overtime to enhance income. You’ll need NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician, plus a

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Carry out in-depth repairs and safety checks to RAC standards.
• Provide member advice and roadside-to-driveway service where applicable.
• Work from a pre-booked schedule with no reactive callouts.
