Job summary

Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division, working on a pre-booked, planned schedule across local areas. You’ll diagnose, service and repair vehicles using mobile equipment, delivering quality work at customers’ driveways and car parks.

The role offers a £40,170 base salary with OTE up to £52,000, 40 hours per week, and overtime options. NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance is required, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
