Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for our SMR division. You'll work on a pre-booked schedule across Luton and surrounding towns, performing planned servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs at members’ driveways and workplaces.

The base salary is £45,370 (inclusive of London Weighting where applicable) with on-target earnings up to £57,000, and a guaranteed overtime option. The role is 40 hours per week with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience in vehicle maintenance or a related role.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs to RAC standards.
• Provide vehicle safety checks and recommendations based on inspections.
• Work from a clearly planned schedule with pre-booked appointments.
